I love to study art… from famous professional artists to up and coming pros. I also love studying the posts on this site. I learn so much from all of my talented friends on Sketch-a-Day. Thanks everyone. I think I would describe my style as expressive realism. When I was a kid, I was a scribbler and my teachers would get angry that I couldn’t stay inside the lines. I’ve finally embraced (and controlled) 5 year old Mike’s style. If anyone is interested, I post quite a lot of my “stuff” on Instagram that doesn’t fit the prompts for sketch a day.
