First, I am a true believer as artists we are all on our own journeys ; everything I sketch, draw and paint is built upon what I've learned from countless works before. Learning from mistakes and knowing not every work is a masterpiece - ie. I learn from every work - there are always things I love and things I could improve. I would say I'm an amateur artist - for the past 5 plus years I have dedicated myself fully to understanding my craft by reading and continuously practicing drawing, sketching and painting - I'm a Denver (Colorado) based artist, and hopefully soon I will be launching a website gallery of my work. In my journey I can see where I've been and know I've got a long way to go - we all do; but this is one of the few crafts that you really earn the skills ! Sketch a Day is an amazing site not only because I think it keeps one accountable, prompts push you in new directions and the artist you meet here are amazing!
